Almond Meal crackers

So you know I like to make my own Almond Milk (recipe here), and if you ever made your own nut milk, you’d probably asked yourself “ what can I do with the leftovers?”.

Well, here is an idea: you can make your own savory or sweet crackers!

In this post, I will show you how to make savory crackers, easy, simple, and with few ingredients. You can also make your own version with what you have at home, but basically, if you have salt, pepper, and olive oil, you are queen or king.


  • almond meal/pulp from the Homemade Almond Milk recipe

  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp chia or flax seeds

  • 3 tbsp water

  • to taste: salt, pepper, Italian herbs or herbs de Provence or any dry herbs you would like to try


  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • pinch of cayenne pepper


  • preheat the oven to 350f

  • mix the chia or flax with 3 tbsp of water and set aside until it forms like an “egg consistency”

  • combine the almond meal, olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs, chia or flax mixture, and optional ingredients

  • on a baking sheet place parchment paper, and then the dough on top

  • press the dough with your fingers until you reach about 1/8 inch thick

  • use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough into squares or any shape you want

  • bake for about 20 minutes, and check. The outer crackers will cook faster, so if you can, move them around a bit or remove them completely. Then bake the rest for another 10 minutes and check. Once gold and dry remove from the oven and let it cool down…if you can.

Serve with hummus, any dipping sauce, or just plain.

If you want, you can store them in an air-tight container with a paper towel so It can absorb the humidity if there is any left.
